Lots of us are trying to counter the pain of losing the indomitable force for Good, Justice Ginsburg by taking action. Most of us want to look back at the November election knowing that we did all
that we could to make the outcome a happy one. Below, you’ll see 5 ways you can take action and be
the difference we want to see.
Also, Biden/Harris signs are popping up in yards all around Dekalb County now. If you are interested in more, let us know. We will see if we can help. $5 (cash or check) helps to cover our costs for purchasing the signs. Big banners can also be found on Amazon & Etsy if you want to go that route.
To all who have bought signs, thank you! Thanks, too, for those who have donated even more than expected. We sure appreciate your support.
Be well and hang in there. We can do this!
1. Get involved Locally: Follow Kevin’s FB Page
and (check “see first) Keven Heller’s FB page so you can be current on what’s going on with our progressive candidate for County Commissioner. Ready to do more? Write a Letter to the Editor or contact KPC and encourage them to host a debate before the election. (Dave Kurtz: firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Get involved Regionally: Mail out Chip campaign letters
Chip letter-writing packets will be delivered to your door. If you want to make a financial contribution, you can use your own stamps, otherwise, stamps are provided. Sign up quickly and easily here:
3. Get Involved at the State Level: Sharing & Posting Online
Help spread the word about voting in Indiana. Please share and post this link from Stephen Colbert to help others “Better Know a [Hoosier] Ballot. (Each state will eventually have their own video, too). It’s short, but useful.
4. Get Involved at the National Level: Send Postcards to Get Out The Vote (Postcards to Voters/PTV)
This is a fun way to help get out the vote. It started small, shortly after the 2016 election, but now has thousands of volunteers from around the country. PTV’s Facebook page is also a nice source of liberal support. It’s a fun and friendly community.
5. Get Involved at the National Level: Help Fund the Efforts to Flip the Senate.
This one doesn’t take much time to do. Donate via Act Blue (Democrats’ fundraising platform) to the “Get Mitch or Die Trying” fund. Your $ contribution will go towards flipping 13 key senate races so we can take back the majority in the Senate and get Mitch out of the way.
I donated to Get Mitch or Die Trying.
